Field Rules

The Rules

1.Any person participating is required to wear approved safety goggles at all times while in the playing area.

2.Any person watching (spectator or eliminated player) must wear approved safety goggles at all times or be a spectator barricade.

3.Any person(s) engaged in combat* are required to maintain a safe shooting distance from opposing team players. (see below for full details)

AEG** firing at a rate of 250 fps*** up to 300fps MUST NOT be fired at a range closer than 5 yards (15ft)

AEG firing at a rate of 300fps up to 425fps MUST NOT be fired at a range closer than 7 yards (21ft)

AEG's and Sniper Rifles firing at a rate of 425fps up to 500fps MUST NOT be fired at a range closer than 15 yards (45ft)

AEG's firing at a rate of 450fps or higher are considered DMRs (Designated Marksman Rifle) and shall only be fired in semi auto.

AEG's classified as a SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) without a semi-auto selection firing at a rate of 450fps up to 500fps MUST NOT be fired at a range closer than 20 yards (60ft)

AEG's firing at a rate above 500fps ARE NOT ALLOWED to be used during game play

4. Any shot that lands between the waist and the top of the head constitutes an eliminating hit. Shots that hit the shoulder, arm, hand, thigh, calf, or foot are not considered eliminating hits.

5. Any person who "gets the drop" on an opposing team player inside the safe shooting distance (refer to rule 3) has two options.

a. If you have a LOW power side arm (under 250fps) you may use it if they are at least 2 yards (6ft) away.

b. Call out for the opposing team player to put his/her hands up. The opposing team player then has two options.
1. They immediately put their hands and gun above their head in surrender
2. They attempt to dodge behind cover. If this is the option chosen, the opposing team player acknowledges they are inside the safe shooting distance and waive enforcement of rule 3 in an attempt to remain in the game and are open to fire within the safe shooting distance.

6. If two opposing team members encounter each other within the safe firing range (refer to rule 3) without one or the other calling for a "hands up" they are required to come to agreeable terms to allow one, or both players to fall back outside of the safe firing range (refer to rule 3) before combat* continues.

7. If teams are not predetermined they will be be chosen by each player flipping a coin until an even number of players is on "heads" and "tails"
ie. 6 players- if the first two flip heads then the third flips tails then the fourth flips heads the remaining two are on tails team without having to flip.


* Combat is ONLY a reference to the in game role playing. It is in no way to be misinterpreted as a deliberate act of violence to inflict bodily harm upon another person to any degree in which the word "combat" could define.

** AEG- Automatic Electric Gun, also refers to green gas, co2, and bolt action airsoft guns.

Age Limit is 12 years old.

Minimum protection is safety glass/balistic glasses unless you are under 18. Under the age of 18 you are required to wear a full face mask.

If you are under 18 you MUST copy and paste the forum from here, print it off, and have BOTH of your parents sign it before you can play at Ambush Alley. 18 and older can just sign the waiver at the field.
